Potential Scam Alert

For Your Protection:  Our office will ask multiple questions to verify your identify before preforming any service or providing any information on your account to keep your account safe.

If you have any questions about this process, please inquire with one of our offices in person or over the phone.

We have just been made aware of a potential information security breach that may affect our members.

There have been individuals calling members from other PA credit unions and claiming to work for that credit union. The phone calls show the credit unions phone number on the Caller ID, making it seem that they work for that credit union. The calls are regarding large transactions on members’ credit cards, and they are said to be able to read off the full credit card numbers, as well as the CVV number, to the member. They are then asking the member to click on a link that will be sent to them via text message and to provide more personal information.

We know it can be very convincing since the numbers can be read off, along with the Caller ID showing a number you are familiar with. We will never ask you to do this!

If you ever have to give out personal information – make sure you know who you are talking to. If you feel like the call is not legitimate- hang up! If you ever get a call like this – please let us know!

We are unaware of any type of breach at this time – but wanted send out a message to alert our members to be on the safe side.
